How do I care for my jewellery?
Our pieces are designed to be worn and loved every day, but like all fine jewellery, they need care to keep their shine.
CARE
Avoid prolonged exposure to water, such as showering, swimming and sweat from a long workout. Avoid harsh cleaning agents, perfumes and applying skincare directly to your jewellery. Regularly buff your jewellery with a polishing cloth to remove discolouration and maintain shine.
STORAGE
If storing for prolonged periods, place your jewellery in a small airtight bag with a silica gel packet, away from sunlight. This helps slow down oxidation and keeps your pieces looking bright.
CLEANING
Combine 1–2 drops of dish soap in lukewarm water and soak your jewellery for 2–3 minutes. Using a soft bristle brush or cloth, gently clean the surface and any hard-to-reach areas. Rinse with clean lukewarm water, pat dry with a soft cloth and let air dry for 10 minutes before storing.
How long does gold vermeil jewellery last?
With proper care, your gold vermeil jewellery can last for years. Our pieces are crafted with a quality sterling silver base and thick 18k gold plating, offering greater durability than standard plating. Sterling silver has its own material value and can always be replated for years to come. Stay tuned for our re-plating service to support ongoing sustainability.
To preserve the bond between the gold coating and the sterling silver base, avoid prolonged exposure to water and any harsh chemicals or perfumes.
Over time, a natural softening of the gold tone and finish may occur which is part of the natural beauty of the materials that we use.
